Mapping Process
The creation of forest site and biotope maps is carried out in accordance with the rules and objectives of regional environmental and forest authorities. Enterprise-specific features are incorporated and represented as desired.
In Bavaria site mapping takes place in co-operation with the "Verein für Standortserkundung" (forest site mapping society).
Results
The results of the fieldwork are entered into a GIS database. In addition to the creation of forest site or biotope maps, results may also be represented applying various criteria (water conservancy, suitability of tree species, unsuitable sites for economically important tree species, etc.), depending on the particular interests or points of focus of your enterprise. Area tallies for each focal map are available.
